Rebecca L. Meyer, PhD, MSN, BSN, FCN, RN
Rebecca has been a nurse for over 30 years, where for over 20 years, she worked in the PICU/CVICU as part of the ECMO Team and Transport Team, as well as an Educator, and Manager. She transitioned to being a full-time professor at a faith-based university, teaching courses such as Global Health, Transcultural Nursing, Quality Improvement, Leadership, and Curriculum Development while continuing to practice as a faith community nurse. She was leader for the overall curriculum, and co-author of the culture and strategies sections of Christian Global Health in Perspective, a 12-week course available for people as they prepare for missions. She trains with and leads students to serve cross-culturally where they learn to integrate their faith with their discipline. In this capacity, she has participated in community development with vulnerable populations in places such as Thailand, Cambodia, Brazil, and India. She is also a volunteer at her church, serves on professional boards, and participates in a variety of community activities. |
